Hi All,

we had the mid level spreader on one of our O'Connor Tripods break the other day. Any ideas on where to find a replacement? Only other option is the ground spreader, and Im not a massive fan of those.

Was it the spreader for the 25L CF legs? Did a lever on one of the arms break?

If so, email or call O'Connor. I had two levers break, and they had a redesign of the part and will replace for free.

Not sure what the model of the tripod is, but it looks identical to the 25L on the Oconnor Website, albeit without the RED height locking levers, which are black.

It was the Locking mechanism that attaches to the tripod leg itself which got snapped off. Got someone locally who thinks they can bash together a quick fix for it, but Id rather find a new one so I can be totally confident of stability when we've got a full optimo rig on it!

Best to try Oconnor direct then?

This is what happened to my 25L CF legs. They never offered to me when I called them. I need to check that out. Who did you talk to? Could you PM me contact info.

Appreciate it,
Dale

Dale,

At the time I just called O'Connor service, which then got forwarded to their new service facility in Burbank.

I want to say a guy named David runs it, but could be very wrong.

Our Oconner spreaders break quite often and we keep a backup set because of it. I did not know they have service in Burbank now. Where about?

Andrew,

I am an Oconnor dealer located in Los Angeles area & can get you a new spreader for $385.00 USD
They make one for the 25L & one for the 35L.
Price is the same for either one.
Just different part numbers.

Or you can send the spreader to the Burbank, California facility for repair.
PM me & I'll get you the phone number.
Typically they charge $200-$300 for repairs dependeing on the damage
Of course they would only be able to quote you once they have your spreader in hand.
Let me know if I can help.
