Great test!

I watched in QT double size/presentation mode with black background at 30" cinema display and it looks gorgeous!!!

Wow! That was breathtaking!

Was the light/exposure/flare effect around 0:23 in the video done in post?

Do you have pictures of the lens setup?

Those are not lens flares:)
Nothing was added in post other than added grain and graded. H264 and Rec-709 don't really do justice to the images. I did this video in RedLog and DCI color space as well and on CRT it looks so much better. Colors are more vibrant for obvious reasons and you get better much dynamic range, so the whole image looks much smoother. If anybody would like to see it in full size in Prores let me know and I'll post it.

all flares were on set. no lens pics. the tilt/shift set up was pretty ghetto.

Technically, flares imply a certain internal light reflections in the lens, which isn't quite what is happening here. So, as I already said, these aren't flares:)

Yes! Post the prores please!! :)

So how was the light effect done ? A reflector on set that bounced the sun light into the lens?

No, no reflectors were used for the that. We had only one reflector and it was used for the light bounce on the model. Gotta make her look good:) Bouncing light into lens would mean only one thing- flares, but I already said- those aren't flares.
Prores coming up...
