I've got a simple question that I'd really appreciate if someone could answer. Is it necessary to keep the ".log" and two ".profile" files that are created with each RDM folder? When I use R3D Data Manager these files are not copied with the rest of the files and I'm trying to figure out if they're necessary. Thanks, Tommy

Hei
In the Red One operation guide appendix B it says (Firmware Build 17, Version 3.4.1):

"When copying media, it is recommended that you drag the complete .RDM folder on the digital
magazine to the archive storage media. This copies all the media and metadata files. You won’t
need to copy the log and magazine profile files, but if you do so, it will do no harm."

Hope that helps
Chers :)

Are

camera .log and profile

camera .log and profile

i always keep them, can't hurt, takes up no space. also, less clicks means less chance of 'finger trouble'...

but do delete the profile files at the computer if you want the mag to come up as "unformatted" at the camera.
