Hey everyone,

Finally a trailer for J'ai Tue Ma Mere (I Killed My Mother) that's playing at the Cannes film festival this year. Make sure to watch in HQ! Check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDa0CkKjfsk

100% shot on RED, printed to 35mm. Opened to a standing ovation at Cannes yesterday! More here (warning: google translation!):http://bit.ly/12MVsE

Thanks again to Jim and the entire team at RED. This would not have been possible without your hard work and dedication! Cheers!

One of the best RED footage samples I've ever seen. It's a superior digital camera indeed.

Looks incredible. Bravo!

I can't wait to see the other films that were shot on RED. I haven't seen the print of I Killed My Mother yet, very curious to see how it looks. It'd be nice to compare workflows amongst the films shot on RED at the festival, and evaluate the results. Apparently the addition of the film grain to a RED image is a nice touch.

Definitely psyched for Antichrist, I hear it's stirring up controversy!

Congratulations Sean! Were you the DP on this? It is bound to be one of Quebec's great films. And just an amazing accomplishment for such a young filmmaker.

Cheers
Vince

Hey Vince,

I was the data wrangler on this picture. The DP was the lovely and talented Stephanie Anne Weber Biron. She really knocked it outta the park, the picture has a really unique look.

Thanks

Thanks

Hey Sean,
Thanks for the sweet comments. You are always awesome to work with yourself! :)
(Nini is my nickname, my full name is Stephanie Weber Biron...just in case you are wondering who I am).

Hey Steph! Can you believe it?! It flippin' swept the Director's Fortnight, 3 of the 4 major awards!! I hope it snags the Camera D'Or....and man, the wrap party is going to be insane! Certainly cause to celebrate...

Congratulations!!... from the trailer it looks spectacular!
You rocked....

Wow!

Jim

Well we didn't get the Camera D'Or, but congratulations to Warwick Thorton for his win with "Samson and Delilah". I look forward to seeing it, along with many of the other films that were in competition this year.

Has anyone seen Tetro? I'm really curious about that film, both artistically and technically. I know Coppola has been talking about digital cinema in the last few years - does anyone know what they shot that picture on?
