I am sorry if it was discussed before ... tried to find a thread with similar issue ...
I exported from Apple Color a .dpx sequence, when attempting to open it in Flame 2009 got "unable to handle pixel format" message.
Anyone knows about this issue? Any ideas?
I am trying to establish a workflow: off-line in FCP, send to Color for grading then send .dpx to be conformed in Flame using edl for VFX. It worked using QT files, but we have some old Flames machines that can't import QTs.
Thanks!

... according to Mr. John Montgomery:
"What's happening regarding readability in flame/smoke is that Apple color writes out DPX files as little endian files -- while flame (and most other products) use big endian DPX files. RedCine writes out big endian files, so they import correctly."

Thanks guys! Do .cin files exported from Color carry the original timecode?
I'll test it tomorrow ...
Regarding Flame 2010 and WiretapCentral, probably it's the best way to go, but we have older Flames here along a 2009 ... and we're not going to upgrade soon ...

Cineon files do not have time code. That's one of the reasons why the DPX format was developed. You can, however, include time code as part of the file name, which is a very common way of providing it (the number should represent the total number of frames if you're counting from 00:00:00:00).
