Hey guys,
I'm working on a short video for a class project for my multiculturalism class. I know this is way off topic but I would really appreciate anyone of the Islamic religion who would be willing to help me out. What I would ask you to do is to record a short video (webcam would be fine) answering any or all of the following questions (none that you aren't comfortable answering):

Muslim Americans-
* Are you a citizen or just a resident in the United States?
* what was your reaction when the 9/11 attack happened?
* Did you experience any difficulties in people's attitudes towards you? Were you treated differently? examples
* Who did you vote for (Obama / McCain) - if they were citizens in the first place
* Are you for or against the war on terror/war in Iraq?
* What do you think should the United States do to improve its image in the Middle East?

Muslims outside the United States:
* If you were an American citizen, who would you have voted for? (Obama/McCain)
* What was your country's general reaction after the 9/11 attack?
* How did the image of America change after the war in Iraq?
* Are you for or against war on terror?
* What do you think should the United States do to improve its image in the Middle East?

If you could upload the video to http://public.me.com/mtfield
Thank you so much for anyone willing to help!

Order this book on Amazon:
"Who Speaks For Islam?: What a Billion Muslims Really Think", for $15.
It is based on the Gallup World Poll and it is completely based on fact.
Robert Gardner

"Only Scientologists should be given civil rights in front of law."
or
"It should only be allowed to Scientologists to give birth to children."
or
"We should get rid off mentally ill persons without shedding one tear."

All by L. Ron Hubbard. Founder of Scientology.

Last time I checked those who copyright an sell such totalitarian phrases were still considered a religion in the United States... it's a bit funny to look at this whole muslim bashing while such phrases can be sold legaly and tax exempted isn't it?

Why not just ask what it is like being a Muslim American? Nothing else.

You possibly risk pushing in a political bias on your piece by framing them firmly within the context of politics and 911. It may be more revealing simply to ask what it is like to be a Muslim American as you may get far more diverse answers than you would otherwise. Being a Muslim and an American surely aren't mutually exclusive, and discussing everyday life exposes people's innate similarities rather than dividing them along political lines.

Tanner Field, you won't go far afield with these questions. Propaganda never does.

Unfortunately like it or not, 911 has to be mentioned somewhere in your video. Immediately after 911, there was a spike of curiosity in Islam. Wish it had been because of better circumstances...

But yes, the scope would be wider if you dwell into how a Muslim lives his life instead of just the war aspect. The truth is far different than what you see on cable news.
