  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

headphone out issue...

So.. on a shoot a week ago, my headphone just stopped outputting.
The level was there on the LCD.. so I just went with that..
However. after a build switch. Im still having an issue. I have audio level cranked all the way up, and headphone level cranked all the way up.. and im just getting, the lowest level possible of audio through the headphones.
Audio board issue?
anyone else have a similar problem?
I think ive done every type of trouble shoot possible
 
When I switched to the latest B18 my headphone jack stopped working completely.
I don't use it much so I figured it was a build thing. However I just discovered that if you turn the audio inputs off and back on again (System/Sound/Rec. enable) the headphone signal comes back. A little tedious but serviceable.

I had this on a shoot as week... and it really sucked because we had radio interference that I couldn't hear. I thought I tried everything, like on/off the channels but I never got the headphones back. Yesterday the headphones magically worked.

Also, the 48V seemed to have shut off though the display indicated it was on.

I swear RED needs to hire a dedicated sound design guy for the upcoming cameras. I get the feeling some engineer over there is doing double duty and sound just isn't really his bag. No offense... but c'mon... it is what it is.
 
Thanks for the fix Evin. It managed to save my skin within 1 minute of the problem happening.
