  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Has anyone tried an Easyrig with your Red One?

I'm also interested. If you receive more than 10, 15, 20 purchases, would the price come down even more since you are aiming for 5?

Ditto. Or what would it take to go at least down to $2500 for the ERIG-700-3 with Red hook?

Secondly I'm wondering whether the 600 or 700 is better, not only for Red now but moving forward to Epic, which is supposed to be lighter.

Originally, we were looking for 10. But, opted to lower it for the benefit of the group.

However, to achieve $2500, it would require a minimum of 15 units. And, this is probably the lowest we can go.

We recommend you use the EasyRig with the correct weight load capacity for your camera set-up.

You can always change the shock-mechanism down the road, i.e., to work with Epic.

will the larger RED clamp also attach to various arri and Panavision 35mm cams?

Yes. The larger clamp will work with these type of cameras.

James, I'm in for $2500, probably would be in for $2650 but that extra $150 pushes me over. Let me know how this group buy goes and when I need to get you a CC #. Is this something that you want an email from me or will you do it via Reduser PM?

Okay. I'm in, too.
Michael, I sent you an email about my size concerns. I'm much larger than Jarred Land! Can you contactme when you get a chance, please?

Anyone going to the LA user group meeting this weekend?

I'm wondering how the Easyrig operates if the camera is "underweight"? If I get the 700 version (33 to 44 lbs) and try to operate it when the cam is only 25 lbs, for example, what happens?
Thanks

I'm also interested in what happens if its under weight. I want to buy the Easy Rig 3 that will work with a RED and a 435... maybe thats not possible. On average I'd say a RED with Primes is only 25-35 lbs...

I've heard that you should buy a 20lbs rated one in that case so that is takes of most of the weight...

If you have an EasyRig 700-3 and your camera set-up is only 25 lb., then, your camera will sit higher than your shoulder. Thus, you will be forced to pull the camera down for the appropriate angle. Moreover, you will be forced to maintain constant pressure so the camera will not pull itself up. If you have the proper weight ratio, the camera will remain constant without any added pressure.

For example, if you lower the camera to your shoulder length, you will not need to add pressure to maintain the camera at that specific spot. Same if you lowered the camera lower, it will remain its constant spot. However, if your camera weighed less than the recommended EasyRig specifications, chances are the camera would creep higher, i.e, pull itself up.

Please see the above post for the "under weight" issues.

Every camera person's set-up is different. From experience, the most popular units are either EasyRig 600-3 or 700-3 for RED configurations. Again, it varies depending on the camera set-up.

Our recommendation is to weigh your camera set-up and choose your EasyRig accordingly.

If you order an EasyRig and you realize you require a different shock, we are more than willing to change the shock to meet your needs--assuming this occurs soonafter acquiring your new unit.

If you have an EasyRig 700-3 and your camera set-up is only 25 lb., then, your camera will sit higher than your shoulder. Thus, you will be forced to pull the camera down for the appropriate angle. We will try to streamline the process as easily as possible. Beginning tomorrow (Thursday), you will be able to order the EasyRig via our webstore at $2650-- we will issue a special promo code. The moment user #15 orders an EasyRig through our website., we will begin charging $2500.

Please note, the moment user #15 purchases an EasyRig we will refund all previous buyers (#1 - 14) $150.

This will allow everyone to take advantage of this offer without having to wait for the 5th or 15th buyer.

EasyRig comes with a standard size vest--which fits most. However, the EasyRig can also be ordered in either Small or Large sizes.

I will contact you tomorrow to answer any other questions (per your email).

Matt,
I nearly took the 600, but I´m happy to have the 700 now. It´s very easy to add weight with R1, but not to take it away.
