Anybody know how what to do about a lens that is troublesome to remove from the PL mount?

what lens, what mount, and what are the symptoms - ie mount is frozen, mount moves but lens won't move etc.....

Could this be a temperature issue? I haven,t ever run accross this problem, but my first instinct would be (if the lens is hot) to let it cool down and then try again.
I,m not sure if this is applicable to Red or your lens or both...

Sometimes you could mount the lens wrong by not following the keyway which is located at 2 o clock. Just turn the lens lock collar counter clockwise and then when the lens is loose, turn that until you could match up the leafs of the PL with the lock and that should do it. If this is your problem.

If it´s the case that you can´t rotate the collar far enough to clear the wings on the lens, then you can remove the smart side ear of the PL mount, loosen the grub screw under it and rotate the collar until the lens wings are unobstructed.

Make sure to re-engage the grub screw to the correct depth afterwards...

same happened to me a few weeks ago, as dominic said, under one of the ears is a little screw which you can loosen and that allows you to rotate the collar 360 degrees, very easy. good luck.

Shortcut to the right ear - look for the little dimple on the front face of the mount under one of the ears. That's the correct ear to remove to find the grub screw.

Help!

What size is the grub screw? None of the supplied allen keys in the bolt set fit, and I'm stuck in Spain without my tool kit trying to get a RED 18-50mm off which someone else put on! Got to go to hardware store fast and get the right one, but it's a bit small and not all stores will stock it I think!

Thanks
Eric

Bump. Managed to bodge it out, but would be good to know the exact size.
