Takes CF Cards, SD cards and SxS cards. Back up speeds of 80MB/s to a 500GB 2.5" internal Esata drive.

It also allows for back up to it's internal drive while simultaneously backing up to an external drive connected via FireWire, eSata or USB.

Could be a handy tool.

That looks nice, and I love the higher capacity drives. Really fond of my Nextos when I need them, so I'll wnat to give these a look as well. Thanks!

Wished there was some more info on this but I guess we just have to wait. Would be great if it could do stand-alone double backups with hardware data verification!

We've have a few of the old Nextos and they are great- reliable and fast. Also work well as little bus-powered hard drives.

The Video Storage Pro NVS2500 sounds like a fantastic device when you want to back-up SxS cards with it’s average back-up speed off 80MByte/sec. When it comes to Compact Flash Cards it’s average back-up speed off 20MByte/sec is even a little bit slower compared with the 25Mbyte/sec from the Video Storage ND2725. It still sounds like a very handy tool especially with it secondary back-up functionality to an external hard disk. Looking forward to the reviews when it’s on the market.

For me, that´s a key feature - I´ll be getting one of these for sure. Not having to lug a laptop around on a doc shoot will be very welcome...

Cheers for the heads up,
Dom.
