Greetings,
Looking to partner up with a Red post expert / or small 'mom and pop' company for a current project, and a variety of upcoming ones. While I can go to a larger house for conversions, coloring etc., on big jobs, I'm looking for someone who has a workflow extablished for more moderately budgeted jobs.
The current project, the first of three with this director, shot 700GB of footage to cut together 50-60minutes of finished material. Editor cut with 'dailies quaility' ProRes quicktimes generated by a larger (hideously expensive) post house; all the file names correspond exactly to original R3D clips. We need to go back to the originals and render out another set of Prores files with proper filenames, this time baking in a nice first pass color correction. I'd prefer to dial in my color in Redcine, Redalert (programs I know well) to pass to you along with Red files on to you, but am open to other suggestions that are time/budget. I'll fine-tune the color in FCP.
Cheers,
Morgan Schmidt, DP/LA
