FOR SALE: FOLLOW FOCUS (Chroziel knockoff)

[Lewis-M Soucy]

Hi all,

following my recent aquisition of a Arri FF4 :shifty:, I'm selling my former FF that I used only on one shoot, so it's pretty new. It's compatible with 15 and 19mm rods, is dual sided and has a 15" whip (and many gears and geared rings for photo lenses). It's sold in the original box, with all the accessories... No need to mention it is totally Red compatible, Red lenses, etc...

I put it on ebay here:
http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300296582951

Great deal for Euro buyers (save on shipping, taxes, duty...) but willing to ship worldwide as well (still a great deal). It cost me around 600€ new with all the fees, and I'm knocking off 30% since I'm a Arri wanker now... So 400€ and it's yours

Details in english here for those lost in the french eBay page:

Cheers!

I am interested in your Follow Focus, but I can not see any witness marks on it. I look at all of your pics and the pics from the India maker. Are there any witness marks for when you mark the marking disc? Does the black ring around the marking disc rotate when you rotate the knob?

How does this FF compare to others?

Thanks,
Dusty

[Lewis-M Soucy]

Yes there is a witness mark on the black ring which doesn't rotate when you turn the knob. It actually works like a real follow focus

This is a pretty good Chroziel knockoff... It's got a slight play, but nothing dramatic. We made one shoot with it and were pretty happy we had it. It's good value for the price, comes fully equipped, but it ain't an Arri...

I wouldn't recommend it for rental or pro use, but for a personnal accessory until one can afford the 4000$ real thing...

Have you guys had one of these basically disintegrate in your hand, or dealt with their customer service. Mine literally fell apart in my hand.

Hey Ryan,

I had access to one of these and thought it was not really that good. Too much backlash to be usable on a 'proper' job. However the customer service was truly exceptional. This is, of course, only my experience. If they get to make better products, I would certainly buy from them!

I bought it, and its not an arri, but very very usefull

LOL, Need to edit this post. Used it today and ts CRAP. Cant even use it with a prime as the gear keeps slipping insde that thing. Worst money spent ever. I feel a bit screwed here.

[Zakaree Sandberg]

Yeah these indian FF are complete PIECES!!!!
DO NOT BUY.

Do NOT BUY anything from these cine whatever people in india.. all JUNK

[Lewis-M Soucy]

It apparently doesn't do a good job with the stiffer primes... Beware, it works ok with most lenses I used with it, like the Red zooms and a few Cooke primes, but the Red primes seems to give it a hard time...
