  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

C-MOCOS video?

First of all thanks Meryem for posting your video. It was a last minute decision to show it at the reduser event and we will update to website with more pictures and videos. By the time you will be able to order the it there will be enough samples to show the quality and usability of the system.
And just to make sure there is no confusion about this, the initial development for this robot was DLR and they are still using it for research, but the current development and the robot itself is property of kuka and we are a partner of them and working with them to make it usable for film work and you can belive me that a normal industrial robot is not build for camera motion control. There are a lot of problems to solve to make it a good usable system.

What problems are they?

How much is the arm going to cost and when it is going to be commercially available?

Hi Stefan: It's always great when product developers show up on the site to talk about their products. I was really impressed with your demo. The moves were incredibly complex and smooth.

I hope I don't create a windfall of headaches for you by posting this. Just by showing up at the reduser party, I'm sure you generated a lot of curiosity about this system. Regardless of whether or not I'll be able to afford it...I always appreciate a glimpse into the possible future of camera technologies.

Anyone else had issues watching Meryem`s video? It never loads more than 400 kB...

150K in Euro and end of next year, BUT these are estimations.
So to quote RED:
"Specifications, prices and delivery dates are subject to change. Count on it."

I'll rent an extra one to make the coffee!

It does seem so very precise and small.

I'd love to see some clips of the uses of such systems. Especially when coupled with a track and talented people. :)

Can it be programmed to wash dishes? Would be cheaper than my ex...
