  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Time off... getting married.

Ah ha! The secret source of your power. Congratulations Jim and also to your bride to be. Leave all the technology at home and bliss out in the sun.

Jim,

Congratulations on your wedding! I wish for you a long life of happiness together.

Oakley is no small feat, but a man who builds a camera, builds a time machine.

Felicitation Jim!

Hope to see that new little family, growing soon! :)
So now, you are half European huh? :)

With love and respect,

vincent*

The pilots are shooting the wedding... I'll set it up. Very private. 6 people.

Jim

Six people is just right in my experience.

Mine was two computer geeks (me and the sysadmin as my best man), two US chicks (bride and the HR manager as best lady) and two shrinks (their spouses).

I'm certain you will have a happy marriage, after what you've been up to those last years she will know what she is getting into. :sifone:

Life is to short to miss it !

Life is to short to miss it !

Congratulations Jim and congratulations to your bride!
She´s getting for sure an even smarter husband than a strong business leader :)
So leave all behind for those weeks and relax in the sun.
Life is to short to miss it !

greetings from Austria!

Jim,

A heartfelt congratulations. May you grow old together.

Mark

Take the time out and have a private ceremony...Sounds divine!

Two things to always have in your arsenal in life:

The Art of War by Sun Tzu

and

The Art of Marriage by Wilferd A. Peterson.

There is one line that I always loved:

"It is a common search for the good and the beautiful."

Wish you both all the best for the future...

Thanks... I know she loaned someone lunch money at the show. :-)

Loaned huh? Sure you're not marrying this woman for her business savvy?

Congratulations Mr. Jannard, enjoy your break and many happy year with the Mrs.

Dear Masha and Jim,

I wish you from heart all the best for the years to come. :violin:

Keep your humor, your faith, your smile, be healthy and take the chances to live between all the work hours.

I met both of you during IBC - I think it must have been 2006 or 2007 - and knowing such a clever (Sprichts Du immer noch "nur" 6 Sprachen oder sind schon wieder neue hinzu gekommen?) lovely pretty woman behind Jim makes me sure you are definetely a very lucky guy, beside all what you "can do".

Take care of her :tt1:, she seems really to deserve it. The same vice versa, take care of our the RED hero  and give him the chance to cool down when the heat is on!

Cheers,
Axel

PS: Jarred, when will start the "we are all free now" party exactly?

Congratulations!!!
Have a beautifull honeymoon!
All the best!!!

With your permission, I am going to take a couple of weeks off to get married somewhere in the South Pacific. Starting next Friday I'll be gone and not checking up on you mooks. Jarred is fully empowered to "ride herd" if things get out of control in my absence.

My sweetie of several years has been very patient with this RED stuff. Now it is her turn. She is Czech and many of you met her at NAB last year. One of the main reasons I did RED was to prove to her that Oakley was not just "lucky". She missed the action on that one and I guess I wanted to make her proud of something I was doing... not something I did. So if you are happy with RED... she deserves a lot of credit for motivating me to stay young and take another big swing for the fences. BTW... I adore her.

Jim

Jim -

My most sincere congrats (to both of you)!! She's a catch for sure.

Always good to stop now and then and take stock in all things and be with the ones you love -

Have a fantastic and amazing honeymoon ... and never stop swing'n for fences.

How much trouble can Jarred & the gang get into anyway ...

> Jarred is fully empowered to "ride herd" if things get out of control in my absence.

ok, so we want to have fixed Scarlet for $799 and basically all other prices cut to third. That doesn't include RPPs, they will be 1/10th of original announced MSRP.

oh yes, Czech and Slovak women (and basically all Slavonian countries including former Yugoslavia, Poland, Russia) are said to be beautiful. And as I live here, I can attest they really are. Condol... congratulations to you both, please let her translate "preji vsechno nejlepsi, at Vam zdravi slouzi a at vsech vasich 16 deti udela pro tenhle svet minimalne tolik kolik jejich tata - pak se tu bude mnohem lepe zit".

limited budget, heh? Come on, admit it : you can't afford it, all money is invested in Sony, Panasonic and Canon stock.
