Just recorded my first red files and wanted to connect to my Avid PC through a usb cable. The computer recognizes the Red Camera but where do I get the drivers. I just want to copy the file into Red Cine but I cannot access them yet? What to do?

Did you try to connect the Camera to your PC ?
If thats what you did you really should read the Users Manual.

You need to either get a Card Reader if you recorded on CF Cards or Connect the Red Drive via Firewire 800 or USB to your PC but don´t connect the Camera Body to a PC.

I've never thought about connecting the Red itself to a PC! How does it show up, if you don't mind my asking?

As far as getting the footage off goes, hopefully you are plugging the RedDrive or CF card into your PC via USB, FW400 or FW800 connections. Once you've done that copy the .RDM folder to your hard drive and that's all your footage, nicely stored in separate folders per shot.

From there you'll have to go into the Avid sub-forum here for more detailed workflow instructions as I don't use Avid myself.
