Can someone help clear up RedAlert and color space confusion? Using 1.4.7 RedAlert.
1) The "preset colorspace" tab in the menu. RGB, RGB2, 709. does this need to match what mode the camera was shooting in? Is this included in Metadata?
I notice that if I have "preset" to 709, I get a view blue look in my scene. But my proxy is much warmer. If I have RGB (default) set, then my viewer is warm and my proxy matches. It's like I can view whatever colorspace I want, but RedAlert is creating proxies from a specific preset.
2) Curves doesn't seem to be affecting my Proxy. I can crank the values, but my Proxy isn't affected. However, changing ISO will affect. (It also seems there's the classic QT gamma problem in the viewers, but that's fine since I know how to deal with it.)
Thanks in advance! I've got my boss all fired up about this camera, maybe I can convince him we should own one
