I've just ordered the RPP's with the 300mm. Now I need a case to hold them.

Any suggestions on cases that might hold all or part of them? There will be an 18mm added when it's available. 7 lenses might be a bit much for one case.

Any suggestions on who might be able to laser cut and how much?

Red is making a case available - http://reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=29457
However, no indication that is is included with purchase so I suspect you will have to plan on an additional $450+ for the red branded case (also made by innerspace)

Innerspace cases offers a 6 lens case - http://www.innerspacecases.com/lens-zeiss-ultra-prime-6-hole.aspx

Thanks Rfo. Was coming back from NAB the day that thread ran it's course. Somehow missed it. What case is recommended for the 300MM?

I thought it was said they come in a case a long time ago...
Things changed?

lol, that would make sense. So the primes went from being $19,500 with case to $19,000 without case. Gotta love the discounts :-).

Hey, i still ordered them.

Unless a case still is included? Red?

Case or no case - great glass/price.

I would get the Pelican 1620 and have insert customized for the glass and AKS. We use the same on LOST for our PV primes. (Of course we're always in the jungle/mud and beach/sand and Pelicans can't be beat in these conditions.)

it's a nice case but I wouldn't use it in the mud and sand... Pelican 1620 is more ideal for me and those of us here in Hawai'i. Plenty of room, protection and space for lens AKS.

I have all my camera equipment in Pelican cases and I really like them. But those Innerspace cases are what I would like to have my RPP's in. Of course having something that's waterproof might be nice to have.

No included case, guys. Would be a separate purchase.

BC

When will it be available and at what price? I'm trying to figure out if I need to directly get Innerspace to make me one or if this Red case from you guys will be ready when my primes are.

ping, see above post. Surely this is known info?

No doubt, it's a tougher debate when it comes to protecting glass. I'm in love with Storm cases for all my camera gear (hate the pain in the ass latches on pelicans), especially when I'm speeding over the manhattan bridge and consider what might happen if that creature from Cloverfield decides to wreak havoc again (terror, destruction, but equipment survival as it floats down the east river).

Not to be redundant, but having an innerspace style case for regular use would be great, with a storm case on backup for jobs near water...

Storm for me too! :) Lighter than Pelicans, MUCH better latches, same rugged construction, range of colours and waterproof. What's not to like?

But they are still separate product lines.

I still prefer Storm.
