Hi guys, was on a job last week with a build 17.4.1 camera. I backed up the drives and as usual loaded them into Redcine (v3.18) to check the footage.
In Redcine the clips came up with skewed colours. It looked as if the blue channel was ignored, the blacks were way crushed, contrast was max and brightness min. Attached is a still of the image.

I hadn't touched any settings in Redcine none of the colour tab parameters were changed and we shot with the following camera settings: 4K 16:9, 3200K, 320ISO, 180deg shutter, 25FPS, RC36. None of the colour or view menus were touched either.

When I pulled the clips into Redalert the clips looked fine so I checked the footage on that shoot in Redalert.

Is there a problem with Redcine and this older cam build? Is there a solution?

Thanks.

"Jiggle" the exposure sliders in the color tab. Sometimes the metadata is written incorrectly. I would recommend reinstalling camera firmware as well.

Try also "tint" slider and the three channel sliders...

Thanks guys, Cail I "jiggled" the exposure slide bar and the image corrected itself.

I Then extracted the metadata from the clip exposure is on 0.00 all of the other parameters seam to have correct values. This looks to me like a code issue with build 17 4.1 and Redcine. Kind of inconvenient as you have to do the same to all the clips in the Redcine time line before viewing them.
