I'm working on a spec commercial, and the scene is wide shots of desert landscape. The director wants to have all the width he can get. This will be for broadcast or internet, not so much the big screen. With this in mind, is 4K16.9 the way to go, or will there be problems in post?

Thanks

Von,

4K 16:9 should not be a problem. The reasons that you might choose 4K HD (aka Quad HD, 3.8K) are mostly if you are doing AVID workflow with reference quicktimes, or some other workflow that is mixing 1080p footage with Red reference files, in which case it's helpful to have _H reference files that are exactly 1920x1080. But again it's not necessary.

Describe a little more about your workflow and we can probably give you better advice.
