Hi Julien,

That looks amazing! Clearly not a cheap run-and-gun music clip. What can you tell us about the production? Locations? Lenses? Grading etc.

Lovely imagery and looks like it took some time.

Well done.

Thank you so much !

It's an independant production. Very low budget.
3 days of shooting
45 days of postproduction (2 persons)

Locations : pyrenees mountains (France)

Lenses :
Red Lens 18-55 mm
Elite Lens : 16, 24, 35, 50, 85 and 135 mm

Grading :
On After Effect with the basics of an old technic (20's-30's).
We changed the green in blue.
Then we worked the skins with shapes.
The look is the result of a work on the Sieff pics with shapes too.

You can watch a demoreel here (low res) : http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8sa9u_gojira-vacuity-vfx_creation

Ah,

Beautiful.

Makes it all feel worthwhile when someone does some amazing color work like this. Very sharp, beautifully shot.

I need to check out those Elites. What F-stop where you shooting at?

IBloom

Yes.
All skin tones, the coffin, a lot a thing ! :)
It's more beautiful with manually roto-shapes.

wow, that's PATIENCE, :-):yikes:
wonder if this could have been automatized with a keying tool (like primatte) for extracting mattes for the skin tones ... i'll give it a try when i'll have time

Wow that was great! Awesome work, the clarity and colors were amazing. Any chance of posting a downloadable version?:yikes:
