This is a little music video we did.
Low budget.
Run and gun, most work was done by 3 people.
It does show - i was busy organizing crowds and so they actually will be let in instead of concentrating on directing. But nevertheless it has some nice moments.

Enjoy.

Thank s a lot for kinds words!!!! here is some more info:

We used Elite Primes:
http://optica-elite.com/products/digital/

a very strange set... they perform fine once you close down to about F 2 - 3 :) but if need be you can use 1.3 just might get some strange blooming.

but there is one the 100mm which is just awesome lens. When i asked Elite they told me... well you like, yeah we used a new formula on that one.

When i asked them why don't you make the entire set of only the new formula once... they said well may be ...

Very nice people but they need to change and learn from marketing the type of Red. And apparently RED has approached them but said they needed lenses below 3000 a pop. Needed work out.

Shooting:

we did it in 4 days due to the fact that most were favors so needed to fit with people

1 day: hospital - a maternity ward - next room some one was giving birth - quite freaky - it took us about 5 hours
used available surgeon lights and my desk lamp that i took just in case. It give a nice daylight blue. We used it later to do some shots at my apartment. Like the close ups when she exists the hospital or rips the heart out.

2 day: the concert - 2 hour shooting 3 hours waiting for stage person to tell us that no stage lights could be used :) 10 people were involved in the crowd scenes. I could have done a better job of compositing but hey...

3 day: walking in the snow february in Moscow... cold... it was in the middle of the city, quick jump out to a take or two

4 day: the club scene without the concert... since i was handling both the directing producing organizing and some of the dop work, did a second camera and general advice. I did had too much on my hands and so the directing part is badish. but good experience nevertheless.

It would have been a total disaster but luckily we had complete storyboards and animatics of what we wanted more or less.

my dop that was his first clip.

the hospital scene was shot by Nikolai Vavilov and Zaur Bolotaev two friends and excellent dops, who agreed to help out.

The post workflow was as following:

At that time i only had my G5 so i have rendered everything to ProRes 1080P

Edited in FCP

then using XML and Premier transfered everything to AE and did CC there.

Run into trouble of AE screwing gamma when rendering ProRes, still dont know how to fix it.

Did you use on the whole shooting the elite primes, sometimes it looks you used different lenses from another manufacturer, because of different lens flares which is not familiar to me.
