Then you use the e-sata bus and the transfers slow down, I prefer FW800 on the drive. And e-sata on the Backup drives. However when only using a MacPro on Set it can benefit from an e-sata cable. Where PCi-e cards add e-sata and 'Magic Cables' (e-sata to Sata II) can increase Bus Transfers.
