  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

REDUSER NAB 2009 - The Official Thread

I need some help for the REDUSER event. If anyone can PM or email me if they can help with the following, I'll be very grateful.

Tripod - Heavy duty. Need it for one of the vendors who will be showing a very cool new toy.

Computer Monitors Need at least a couple of them, DVI/VGA compatible.

Raffle Sales People If you have significant others who will be going along but really don't care about the show so much, they might make good candidates. I'm willing to spot them some money for doing it. Need at least two people.

Checkin People Same as raffle in terms of ideal candidates.

Walkie Talkies These would be very helpful for organizational purposes. Budget is getting tight, so renting them may not be an option.

Steve's Personal Assistant I need someone that can help me run around and do various things that night. I'm harmless, easy to work with, and I'll buy you a drink.

Might be some more things, but that's it for now.

Confirmation emails have gone out. If you didn't receive one, let me know.

I can't guarantee I'll be able to accommodate new RSVPs with a confirmation email.

So now everyone who "misses" the main lot and wants to get some taste just comes to You with the magic phrase "Hey Ketch its Jay"... Then when Jay does show up You will go: "You are the 378th Jay in here, no more TRMS buddy!"

Okay, details of the event have been updated in the first post. I encourage everyone to get over to the Amazon as early as you can. I know NAB will still be going on, but I am expecting that the room where the main stage is at to fill up very quickly. Michael Cione's piece will surely be worth getting over there for and we have some special guests who will be worth seeing too. The workflow part of things will kick in and be intense for the next few hours with a lot of information about editing and finishing RED footage. And of course there will be all of the other attractions there as well.

Anyway, just wanted to give everyone the update so you can make your plans, and to make sure I emphasized how important it is to get over there as soon as possible. You all know I'm not a hype machine, so it ain't that. Based on RSVPs I have, we're going to have a full house.

Went to first post. clicked into it.. got 100# screen but no details.
It just won't load on my old internet box? Details on Poster don't give date? guess I'll ask a vendor when I get there? my E mail:

As of right now, it is live event. But that could change.

:) so true, that could happen, but there will still be plenty to go around and round.

Im confused...if there are nonstop presentations from open to close...at which point are we checking out all the gear that's on display, looking at the Red stuff that Red is bringing (prototypes, lenses, etc), chatting, hitting on the three girls in the room, etc?
