  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

So I've downloaded some R3D files from red relay and got everything working in premiere just fine. Most of my edits consist of HVX footage. So now that I had some time again I wanted to play around with some more Red footage but now when I open up my old projects my r3d files are unlinked. When I go to relink them or to re import, or import new r3d files it says it is unsupported.

I tried uninstalling the cs4 plug in and reinstalling it with no luck following the instructions from this site.

Anyways. I've read through the forums and seen some people have experienced things similar, but I haven't found any resolutions.

Thanks

Nathan

I had the exact same problem and those instructions worked for me. Make sure you delete absolutely everything it says in that list and try again.

I'll try that again today. I am 90% confident I deleted everything, did the reinstall and it wouldn't work. Premiere is updated to 4.01.

I'll try it again and see if it works or not

Thanks Noah

Still won't work

Still won't work

Okay so I tried everything the help on adobe suggested and it didn't work. I've tried doing it several times. I made sure to delete all the files it said to delete. I restarted my computer several times and I have still had zero luck to get these .r3d files to import.

Should I uninstall and reinstall Premiere??? Or even the whole CS4 Suite?

Thanks

Nathan

-EDIT- found another thread stating the problem is most likely the trial version of Premiere..

I'm having an issue with Premiere where I can import footage correctly, make edits, and get all the way through my workflow, but if I save and quit, upon trying to open the project I get the following message:

"This project contained a sequence that could not be opened. No sequence preview preset file or codec could be associated with this sequence type."

i've updated premiere to the latest version, deleted all RED plugins, reinstalled, and still am getting the error. Has anyone seen this popup?

That could make sense. I think our company downloaded the trial but bought a serial and updated it... Hmm I'll have to look into that now. I appreciate the help and that is probably the issue we are having.

Thanks

We purchased download version with serial and have not got it fully functional ourselves. I think it's something else but can't find the answer.

Has anyone found an answer to this problem yet? I'm really eager to get this fixed before scarlet comes out! w00t!
