Shot back on 2008 in Nevada.
This is 2 of the 3 spec commercials that were produced just for fun during NAB.

are these spec? i'm really interesting in doing a couple of specs myself. this is really well put together, macgregor.

couple of questions:

1) how did you shoot from the moving vehicle?

2) on the other spot, "Journey," why did you choose that time of day? i imagine the harsh light was intentional.

1. pick up truck.

2. we only had half a day to shoot everything. So we had no choice in lighting conditions. Do you think it´s too harsh? I love the last 2 shots, specially the zabriskie wide angle shot with the sun above.

3. i love your last nightscapes. I have a few questions i´d love to ask you too.

sure, ask anytime!

i actually have a few "sunset" timelapses of nearly those exact frames at zabriskie. the trouble is, even if you wait for "sundown," the mountains in the west block the truly warm, direct light.

yeah, i mean the light is harsh out there midday, but actually it kind of works for these spots, because it makes the guy's journey seem more intense, i guess. that's why i was wondering if you did it on purpose, or just had limited time, like you say.
