FCPro Luminance Shift in Pause Basic CC

In attempting to do basic color correction in FCPro, the image is always darker when paused, and brightens when playing. How to deal with this when Color correcting on paused frame?

what is your sequence codec? I find FCP does this when I'm cutting in a nonstandard codec.

Yes is was the codec.1536x864 is not a conventional codec listed in FCP. It was an option I chose in Red Rushes because I thought it would be a good middle ground, knowing that there were a couple of shots I needed to insert done with HVX 200. Used sequence setting for 1536x864 in FCPro at 23.98 caused the luminance to shift when paused.
