Hello,

When I export dpx seqs from redcine with "file name" & "file number" selected I get seqs with frames named like:

E001_A002_C001_04027S.1531729.DPX

Where did the E001 come from, and how do I remove it? I'd like that same frame to be named:

A002_C001_04027S.1531729.DPX

Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

I guess you're using cineXML between Avid and Redcine.
cineXML creates symlinks with the extra E001, E002 etc. to be able to generate multiple instances of the same clip in Redcine. Otherwise the workflow would not work for quicktimes and DPX sequences that starts with 0 since clips further down in the timeline would overwrite clips that have already been rendered.

You can easily change the names with a file sequence renamer by truncating the first 5 characters of the filename.

any recommendations for a renamer, I haven't used once since debabilizer pro

Try the freeware NameChanger.

There's another app called A Better Finder Renamer which is a more versatile tool.
But for this particular action the freeware should be enough for you needs.
