  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Need some help... please.

We are building a new reel for the Reduser party and still could use some footage. Please submit your r3d's to the address below. Send the r3d's on drives or DVDs and they will be returned to you in a few days.

Also... don't get mad at us if the footage is not used. :-)

We're looking to mix 4k, 3k and 2k shots together as we have done before. We're also happy to incorporate over-cranked elements in the reel, so anything you have would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to include notes on the images as well (ie: framing, color, aspect ratio/scope, etc).

I have some shark footage, as well as STS122 shuttle launch - both 4k 2:1 - will put on some DVDs and ship tomorrow.

putting together a r3d package of selects from the MHD/2009RED reel(MHD/RR#4) and more -> "newer" material.... as discussed - we have a lot online and in 'edit'
 
The reel will be playing in 4K via 4K DCP. So we will need to have R3Ds so we can do a full debayer and master the media from the 12bit source.
If you wish to provide an SR master for reference (or QT) we can use that to match your grade. But for inclusion in this reel, we'll need R3Ds to create the DCDM.

To add to Michael's comments - The R3D's are what we will use to craft the reel in 4k. So those are required for anything that goes in the REDreel. However we are always on the lookout for great things to show off as they were created and finished using the cameras for different deliverables - So along with those R3Ds if you have the finished work in 2k or HD on SR tape, a ProRes QT file, etc. I have a stable of content that I show off on a regular basis, and would like to include more great stuff.

Michael at Plaster does have an ftp site for those of you that are international and it's easier to upload some R3D's rather than Fed-X - He can send you the ftp info. If you do go the ftp route, probaby best to only pick a few of your very best shots that have the most visual impact, since even the fastest networks still take a long time to upload and download. So I'd limit the amount of data you send this way.

Regarding Deadline - the sooner the better - we are cutting the new reel right now and trying to have something ready for NAB in a couple weeks.

Can you please re-screen the IBC reel at the REduser party? A number of my clips were in that and I never even saw the dang thing.
