For those of you who haven't upgraded their battery plates yet, do so.
I was on set shooting a commercial when the camera shut down for no reason. I knew it had to be a power issue, so I took the battery of the cradle and was about to attach back on but burned my finger.
I looked at the bottom of the battery and one of the connectors was melted. I'm not talking about a small repair, it melted so much that the connector inside the battery was no where to be found. I'm guessing it got lost amonst the ooze of plastic.
This upsets me for a few reasons, first one being that I haven't had a chance to send my camera in yet for any of the upgrades, and second being now I only have 3 batteries of use and a cradle that doesn't really work that well anymore (there's melted plastic all over it).
I'd love to get a new battery but without having to buy one of course
. It just sucks because I've wanted to upgrade everything but I just couldn't because of the work volume I've been getting.
Oh wells
