Toei Studio is the one of the five major studio in Japan.

Toei produced so many movies and recently they've started using R1 for their big TV hit series "Shinkenger" (kind of Power Ranger type series), it's children's TV show and on air every Sunday morning.

They were the last film production company to produce TV prime time drama, they finally change to R1, their producer says, Toei has more advantage to use R1 and existing their film equipment than Japanes TV's standard hi-def 1080p camera. Also they have already own so many 16 to 35 film equipment and they have super-trained-film-technician, they did not want to use video until they saw R1 and they finally switched film to R1, they are headed this time.

it's a FUN!

Like iBloom said, I can't believe I just watched the whole thing, but man did I have fun doing it...I could see this becoming kinda addicting. ;)

Good to see TV here finally beginning to embrace Red. NHK were first though so credit where credit's due.

Cheers Chosei!

"kind of a power rangers type series" a bit of an understatement I would say. Man I remember watching power rangers when I was a young lad, I can't believe the exact same show still exists today.

It's kid stuff, but kids love it!

This show targets for age 5 to 11 years old range.
You remembered when you were that age.
Good guy fights bad one, these plot always works.

For professional film maker uses R1 or amateur video maker who uses R1, to me, important thing is not under statement or over statement, it works or not.
This case, it's working for the kids.
