  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Canon Rebel T1i - 20fps?

It will do 20fps at 1080p and 30fps at 720p. Shame they couldn't work in a 24fps option, but this is a $900 consumer SLR for crissakes.

That's exactly the problem, Canon knows that if they throw in 24P it will be much more thus hurting their camcorder sales. It is so obvious.

If they enabled 24p on the consumer DSLR but no on the 5D they would have a whole lot of 5D users rather upset. It does seem clear they are inhibiting features on their DSLR's as to not cannibalize their pro video line. At some point, particularly with Scarlet around the corner, they and other manufacturers will need to step it up to compete.

So Canon shouldn't make a good video feature because it will hurt their Canon video camera sales?

They're going to be hurting themselves period once the Panasonic GH1 comes out. Forget Scarlets and Epics, those are on a totally different playing field.

Rebel without a cause

if canon is worried about video features in their DSLR's hurting their camcorder sales maybe they shouldn't offer video features in their DSLR's...

seems pretty "no duh" to me. why do these large corporations not have a clue???
