Black Quicktime proxies

[Von Thomas]

I had black QT proxies, I corrected them in RED Alert, but what did I do wrong, and how do I correct it.

the first time i had black quicktime proxies was when i played the file using preview but you can regenerate you proxies from red Alert and see what will happen
p.s make sure that you have quicktime red plugin

Sometimes the camera mis-writes the clip metadata and sets the exposure WAY too low.

Rebuild the proxies in the tool of your choice and move on

but how can I avoid this.

Reinstall camera firmware, move on.

We had this problem as well in our production which is on the final. In Redcine we clicked on exposure and then we got our picture back. It might have been a little glitch in the camera
