In the shot near the end where Kelly Ripa steps out of the taxi her face reads more like it was shot on 35mm than video. IMHO this more filmic "movie star" look comes from the use of first rate cinema optics with thinner DOF combined with Graeme's "sharpening not spoken here" approach.

Its that creamy smooth look where the actual resolution and color depth of the image sings that sweet song instead of the over processed HD look. I often wonder if the marketing folks at the big manufacturers deliberately push the image over the top to make sure that even the half blind guys in the back row writing the checks can actually see the difference between SD and HD.
