Has anyone knows if the desired affect of out of focus that can be achieved by the above lenses can be done when shooting 2K while by default not using the whole sensor?
Thanks

I used them recently on a commercial. We did a 7-8 shots at 3K and got good results. You can see the spot here http://www.thisisuppercut.com/ (its the organ donor spot that launches immediately).

I have a century 45mm tilt shift that is very effective on S-16 and 2k. You just have to shoot it opened up and use a composition that highlights the effect you are trying to achieve. Very good lens.

Mike, that would be a slant focus lens, which is different from a Shift & Tilt system.

Just shot a handfull of stuff with it in 4k. You have to remain full wide open to maximize the effect. The widest they have is a 18mm, then a 24mm and so on. I'd think for 2k the 18mm would be neccissary.

FYI I prefer ARRI's system as it's a little less "figity"

FYI, Abel has the Arri Shift & Tilt system available for rental in both 15mm & 19mm rod mount.

Mike,
Just a preference... i like the Arri system but MUCH prefer the Century system; there is more range of motion, and if it's in good shape, locks more securely than the Arri system.
Cheers,
Harry
