  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

MC 3.5 and Meta Fuze

Hi Michael, I'm going crazy. I've installed metafuze on 3 systems so far and I can't get it to recognize the R3d File no matter what I do. I'm now trying this using your configuration. I've got a macpro, put VMware on with XP. Installed avid codecs, and qt 7.4.5. I have a test R3d file in it's original folder with the qt refs. It recognizes the the qt refs but doesn't see the R3d. What am I missing? Thanks

Hmmm... you are using the latest version of MetaFuze?

Michael

Oops thought I had the latest but was wrong. I was using 1.0. The new one was 1.2. But still one question. When I load up the R3d file and click on the name before I do a new transcode shouldn't the image appear at the top of the program? This is one feature I'm still unable to get to work. The good news is the program did make a transcode so hopefully now I can work on getting my client's computer up and running. Oh thanks for the VMware idea Parallel's is not working with QT this one does.

I just figured out why I couldn't see the images at the top of the screen. Everything is good. On my end.

Michael,
Media Composer 3.5 requires QT 7.5.5 does it not? And yet metafuze requires 7.4.5?

How does this work?

Regards

Cameron

Let's go with the 7.4.5. "or later" with Metafuze... works fine on my system.

Michael

Okay cool thanks,

Just wanted to make sure there weren't going to be any compatibility issues.

Cameron

Just out of curiosity how far back in MC versions do the Metafuze created Dnx files work with? If its generating DnxHD 36 will the work on all systems supporting it?

Yes -if your system supports HD and 1080p/23.976 you are good to go.
