I'm curious about what format (I'm assuming RAW) DSMCs will shoot stills in? Will they be as easy to drop into Lightroom, Aperture, etc. as shooting with my Nikon? Managable (and hopefully scaleable) file sizes? Any hints from RED/thoughts from the rest of you all.
Peace,

-Harry

You assume correctly...

Awesome! I was terrified that with how different color tools and color spaces and all are with motion capture that we weren't going to be able to use the Bridge/ACR/Photoshop workflow with DSMC stills and it was going to involve some bizarre NLE or Redcine workflow.

You da man.

Will you be using a format that already has broad support like DNG?

Will there be a lossless compression option?

We are using a format that is gaining very broad support... r3d

Compression will be in the capture, not the workflow, unless you want it. As you know, REDCODE has many flavors in the new cameras.

Would it be possible to shoot a stream of long exposures (more than 1 second) sequentially? Blurring the line between still and motion here but this might equate to 0.5 fps so to speak.

Adobe has already announced native support for r3d files and the RED program. And it is a feature to shoot high speed stills... very high speed.
