Right now the bailout is costing every American House hold $18,000. Soon the sum will be over $80,000 per household. Instead of giving it to the lieberals and failed Bankers, it would be nice if every household got a free fully outfitted Epic X. What would that do for Indie Filmmaking?

I think he means the goverment to pay the expense.

This "bailout" of the banksters is the greatest theft in human history. And it continues, in plain sight.

Start arresting the purveyors of massive fraud and the government officials guilty of malfeasance (at the very least).

And seize all the ill gotten gains, returning them to the treasury. Shut down the private, for-profit corporation called the "federal reserve" which is neither federal nor a reserve.

And start returning jobs to the US instead of shipping them abroad for increased profits, with the full cooperation of a corrupt federal government.

There's a start.

Of course Obama will do none of these things. He was hired by the same kleptocracy that hired Bush before him.

All I have to say, it's about the Constitution stupid. We are in this mess because we went away from the States having the power (where citizens can actually stop this kind of madness) and let the Supreme Court & Congress get unconstitutional power. Look at it this way, our country is set up like 50 small countries that are supposed to defend each other against each other and against other countries. The only thing we are really supposed to "share" in federally is the postal service, defense, and federal justice.

Also... 80,000 implies that we spend... 30 trillion dollars which is 3 TIMES OUR GDP.

If you're going to troll with bullshit numbers. At least do some basic math and figure out what they work out to be.

18,000 implies we'll spend 50% of our GDP on the bank bailouts. Even that stretches plausibility.

Not to mention most of us on REDUser pay a bit more in taxes than the average american, but we also have the most to gain by a strong economy and easy access to credit. What does a minimum wage worker at McDonalds care about the economy. Burger Flipper Jobs don't exactly get a big cut of a thriving stock market. He also doesn't need a business loan to finance a camera rental or post suite. So we'll probably spend a disproportionate cut of this bailout simply be cause the top 5% does pay %60 of income taxes. And that's ignoring population growth, inflation and increases in the GDP. Let's not forget that World War 2 only cost about 5 trillion dollars. At the time it looked like an insurmountable debt. Now it's in the penny jar. This horrible burden being put on our children will be a bubble gum money by the time our children start paying it back.

***** (5 star) thread.. :) :)
