Nothing too fancy, but here's a few stills from a test-shoot I did this past weekend... This was shot with Zeiss ZF lenses. I know some parts of these are a bit "hot" but that was done on purpose - but I seriously need those Panchro IR/ND filters! :-)

Beautiful, must be somewhere around Aarhus or even further up north. I love those areas

Nope - this was actually shot on Sealand at Kulhuse - right here: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=55.933097,11.907892&spn=0.037694,0.07287&t=h&z=14

But there are beautiful places all over Denmark. Come here (again?) :-)

I wish I could!

I have been there no less than 20 times, mostly around Ebeltoft, but also Aarhus and areas around Aalborg were stunnigly beautiful. Haven't been there for over 20 years, but the charm and character seem to be still there. I was offered a job at Aalborg uni as a scientist when opportunity to migrate to Australia emerged...

Hey Tony, this looks amazing...well done, thanks for posting!

Thanks man - this was a small study as I expect to be going to Portugal in the beginning of November to shoot a travel-diary with the RED.

Gorgeous shots! Did you do any kind of grading on them?

Those ZF lenses seem custom made for RED. Very, very nice.

If you can't afford something like the Ultra Primes and you're on a budget then these are definitely the way to go - they come highly recommended. They're as "cine" as a still lens gets :calm:. They do look a bit "flimsy" on the RED though ;-)

I only did a slight s-curve in RedAlert - no extensive grading as such.

Gratulerer!

Very nice

Thanks Gunleik! Takker!

Why Portugal?

I'm not sure if you have ever been there but count on a different daylight -- the africanish sun is not the same there, as in Danmark at least. You can notice the difference there even between different parts of my beloved country. Going to the north you won't find the same sun as in the south of Portugal. Same for November. I would have had preference for the summer time (between June and October) though. But these are just my 0.2 cents.

- E., a northern portuguese speaking :-) with nine/ten years of south

PS: It can seem a little bit odd, but mid or end of November is suprisingly better than the beginning, IMHO. «St. Martin's summer», they say.

Looks great! Could you put some of then in 2k or 3k by chance?

Thanks guys - appreciate it (especially from someone as gifted and experienced as I know you are, Steve). I hope I'll be able to shoot more nature stuff this spring - if I'm not busy shooting other stuff (I'll be shooting b-roll for a feature this spring). My ZF kit currently consists of the 25, 35, 50, 85 and 100 and I'm also thinking of getting a friend of mine to bring home an 18mm from Japan to complete the kit (I know there's a 28 too).

Looks very good.
Why would you need Panchro IR/ND filters ?

Thanks, Antoine. Because some of the stills I didn't post were showing severe cases of IR pollution and a few of them where I was shooting directly into the sun had the IR dotted pattern all over them. I believe that can be removed with the IR filter?
