The other big thing is a lack of any remotely fast glass in micro4/3.
Well, micro4/3 is compatible with regular 4/3 via an adapter. So you can use the Olympus 14-35mm f/2.0 and 35-100mm f2.0 -- the fastest zooms in any SLR-mount.
Stu M has done a far better job that I of explaining the pro's and con's of this thing.

Anyway, I think its best to continue this conversation in the thread already running in off-topic.
Anyone know the low light capability of this cam? Or, in other words, what's the native ASA of this thing?
Sanjin, F/4 isn't fast in anyone's book, and the tasty glass needs the adapter. While you don't have a reduction in light as I understand it (its only an mechanical, not optical adapter) not all glass supports manual focusing. While this is no great loss for some, especially shooting motion, it does limit your options if using it as intended, as a stills and motion capture device.
I agree that on a regular 4/3 Birger is a good thing, and that there is nice glass with the regular mount.
I was talking about the downsides of micro4/3 on the GH1 as a poor-mans Scarlet/ proof of concept device, in adition to the fact that it records 60i. One would imagine that the HDMI output is also 60i, so recording that stream isn't really a viable option. Maybe Red has spoilt me, but I would never spend serious money on anything that doesn't capture and record motion at a true 24p.
And they said you could put Leica M glass on it with an adapter! Zooks!! I've had a bunch of RED users ask me for a M adapter for the RED . . .
Will be good to see how it works at, say, asa 800 or 1600 and beyond, and if it has acceptable skew, what post hoops you have to jump through.
shhh.. don't tell anyone here..And one of the most expensive!
Is it just me, or is this camera not as exciting as the 5d mark II? I may be slightly biased because I just ordered the mark II, but a full frame sensor and canon primes!!!![]()
perhaps they will be fixed with a firmware upgrade, but who knows.
