Hi all,

on a positive note, I wanted to share with my fellow redusers that I discovered another amazing company that truly compares to Red in service and reliability (not to mention prices). Camera Access in the UK (http://www.cameraaccess.com) are providing all Arri outfits, Mattebox, Follow-Focus, Tiffen Filters and more, and they're just great people. I bought my MB20II and FF4 from them and not once did they fail at replying my numerous concerned emails about best package, parts choice and accessories, and even late phone calls...

I'm not affiliated with them, but I wish them the great business they deserve. They are truly human and I take it they look into building long term relationships with their clients as opposed to making a quick buck. I strongly recommend European Red owners to get in touch with them for Arri gear and filters (plus the £/€ deal is very good at the moment  )

So give Paul a shout and say Lewis from Monumental sent you there. You'll thank me later for this I am sure!

Very interesting to know, now that the EUR-USD exchange is no longer favorable (if you take into account import duty, shipping etc.) sure POUND-EUR is far better.
Do you know any other UK store more similar to BHphotovideo ?

No but Camera Access are really nice, and I'm sure if they don't have what you need, they can either find it or refer you to someone as nice as they are... Don't hesitate to drop them a note...

Try Mitcorp, I bought my tripod and some other things with them:

They also have daylight balanced 150watt CFL, this things are huge.

WarehouseExpress is somewhat similar to BHP, although I don't think they carry much in the way of pro cine / video gear.

As far as the POUND-EUR exchange rate goes, where equipment is purchased from manufacturers in Eurozone countries, UK suppliers may be able to offer good prices on older stock purchased before the Pound fell through the floor. It's unlikely they will be able to keep prices down for new stock, so if you are a Eurozone buyer, might be best not to wait too long.

Very true. Buying new Canon still lenses - all prices have gone up significantly since UK £ tanked. I got some good deals just in time, but wanted other items which now cost 20-30% more! And we were paying too much even when there were almost two $ to one £! Grrrrrrrrr
