Beside the Red batteries, does anyone can recommend another brand, (of course the power measure will not display on the Red LCD), like DynaCore, CitiTek or any other brand.
Thanks

I love my SWIT batteries, 160Wh equals more than 2 hours runtime, and with the SWIT Battery extender, you can use 4 batteries simultaneosly which gives more than 10 hour of runtime, perfect for dolly work.

Hello Manuel

Can you give me some more info about what SWIT battery you use? I just went to their web site and it looks like they have many options.

Thanks

I'm using 90Wh Switronix batts. They last about 1 hour and some minutes. When you plug them in the fuel gauge goes from 4 bars to 2 but after that they show the remaining power accurately.

I use the S8172-S 160 Wh LiIon ones, they have an integrated AB Power Tap and are splitable for onboard carriage on Airplanes. I bought them via BandPro in Munich and the price was really good, lot cheaper than Anton Bauer, and with Band Pro, i know i can throw the battery after them if it fails ;)

Check also the D4000-S Battery extender, great device !!

So nice to see others posting links to our site!

The Switronix Dual Battery adapter for the RED One that plugs directly into the camera via Lemo cable (model GP-TS-RED2) can be mounted to any plate designed to accept the original RED battery mount. That means the RED Cradle (which holds a hard drive), the RED QuickPlate (the one shown in the photos on our site), ET RED battery mounts, Ronford battery mounts and so forth. I took the photos on the QuickPlate because that's what we use at Abel for our Rental Dept. Incidentally, we use the ET Iso-Mounts for the hard drives and since these use V-Locks that are the same as standard battery mounts, one could choose to mount a hard drive on the Switronix adapter. And some do.

I really like those big Anton Bauer blocks as well -- serious industry workhorses. And we're going to debut some new battery stuff in the next week or so as soon as it can fit into my schedule. So much to do leading up to NAB...

I have just bought into 1/2 of a R1 and will be purchasing my own aks. Are there any third party battery/warranty issues, or do all these options have Red's blessing? Thanks
Jeff
