Which Management Software for Small Company?

Hey there.
We're a small production/post production company and we intend to keep it small. We work mostly with freelancers and coordinate shoot and post as well.
We also develop, produce and direct whenever it's possible. Some projects we tackle completely inhouse, some over the internet. Right now we get hired either directly by commercial agencies or via other production companies (for example if it's just a post/vfx job).
What software would you recommend to keep track of all the financial traffic and customer/personnel data, internal and external, for a business this size?
And what software would you recommend for easy, transparent workflow management within the production/post production pipeline?
Or is there a good solution that does it all in one?

A low-cost solution is Bento - very robust for the price - and will be around for a while considering it's from Filemaker (an Apple company).

We'll take a look at Filemaker. It looks pretty cool. And not too expensive.
I think Bento is better for organizing private everyday stuff.
