Hello everybody,
I apologize in advance for the rambling nature of the question, but I haven't found a way to succinctly put it quite yet.
I have footage shot with the red for a music video at 50fps with a timeline base of 23.98. The idea was to give us the option of ramping the speed at certain points while maintaining a crisp look.
I am going to be going to a scratch system in the end, but editing quarter res files from Redrushes in final cut pro on a macbook pro laptop to create the EDL.
However, my aim is to edit most of the footage in real time, making it appear as if it was shot at 24fps. Is there any way of ingesting the footage so changing the speed (And another render) in final cut isn't required? I tried entering it into a timeline with a framerate of 50, but it plays back at the same speed as it does on the 23.98 timeline (i'm guessing this is the case because the footage specs are that it has a framerate of 23.98?)
Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks so much.
