Is it possible to keep only 2K proxies in FCP to simplify the offline edit ?

Having to select between every size (F,H,M,P) for each clip can be time consuming.

thanks

Antoine

Sure- just import f only. The way I do it is search the camera folders in the finder for anything that has _f.mov in it. Then drag the results into FCP, you'll be all set. Or f or m or p.

That said, I think you'll find it's a lot easier to offline edit with the m or p clips. Once you're done you simply use media manager to relink your edit to the F or H clips and you'll be go to go.

Hi Steve,

I already use Clipfinder and love it!

...but my question was about simplifying offline editing before using Clipfinder for color correction and conforming.

I know, but that's where Clipfinder comes in. When you import your clips into it, just select the quality level you want (High in your case), drag the clips from Clipfinder into FCP, and presto you have 2K proxies in FCP. It's doing the hard work for you.

Oh...i see now!

Thanks Steve,

I'll try it this afternoon.
