  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Best FCP workflow including transcoded ProRes files from RedRushes?

How so ?...I just imported the EDL list just exported from FCP......need anything else ?
Ok, let's try to understand:
In fcp did you work with proxies or trascoded prores? Because if the red tab in color is off it seems they are no r3d but trascoded to something else and color cannot recogize them as r3d.
 
I´m folowing Mike´s workflow...which is a variation of yours....Ste by step: 1) I generate pro res files from redrushes; 2) I add "_H" so the name of the prores file is identical to the H-proxy (so we can trick color), 3) I import in fcp the prores files; 4) Edit in fcp; 5) Export EDL; 6) Open color; 7) Import EDL. Fill in the frame rates, resolution, source directory where RDC is.......Result...I can see the clip there, but the red tab is empty
If I follow your workflow, with the proxies, it does work, but with the adding _H method so to work with prores files, it doesn´t
