  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

After thinking a lot, I'm selling my set of lomo's. There are superspeed, and standard speed. All of Them are PL Mounted, geared with kinor standard pitch, which is if I remember well 0.4". 8 of them are in a pelicase 1600, the 200mm is lonely.

It's in good condition for 20 years old lens, except the 35mm, which is well used. As you know, some sellers would sell them as new. they are not. They need cleaning, especially the 100m 150mm 200mm, that i didn't send to cleaning.

It is a rare set, a complete set, with matching look, most of the glass are the late lomo's.

I'm selling it as a set only. Or if every lenses has its buyer. The price is set to $16 500.

I'm selling them to buy some Angenieux optimo Rouge, and because
of the chromatic aberation when less than T2.0, and the fact that they
are old lenses, no comparisons with new ones.

I'm selling the set because of problems with DP. When they have fast lenses : they tend to use them, like it were Master Primes.
But because they are not master primes, they don't look really well at 1.4, but at 2.0, 2.8 they are good.

French DP, in their mind thinks :
1.4? ok, so I'll use only 5-6 dedolights 200w, and the picture is underexposed. But you know it's Red One so it's ok, we can process it in post no ?. I hate that because these kind of guys think lomo is bad after that... it's not. It's just old.

I don't know the real price of lomos. Because every sellers has a different approache. Sergey is overrated, rafcam is underrated... don't know. I just want a single optimo instead of these.

I saw here some 4-5 set of lenses being sold for $10 000... so do the maths...
That said, I hope I can have enough to buy the Optimo 30-80 or 16-42, in France. So let's say 18-20 000$ would be really really cool, but I will consider everyone offer.

Not only French... Every time I show up and shoot something with older super speeds, even Zeiss standards, etc.. If I'm not DP, it seems these other DP's always want to shoot WFO. I'm always butting heads with them, trying to get more light on the set, stop down a bit and go for a sharper image. Oh well...

That said, I hope I can have enough to buy the Optimo 30-80 or 16-42, in France. So let's say 18-20 000$, but I will consider everyone offer.

I want the 16-42, but it seems it probably won't be in my budget for this year. :bye2: Anyway, that looks liek a pretty nice set of Lomos there. I'm sure there are some out there who would be very happy to have them.
 
Really nice set of lenses. It's hard to find the ckbk/ekran lenses any more, I should have bought that 18mm a year ago when it was on the market.
I agree with you on the lenses not being sharp at 1.4 but that's also the case for zeiss superspeeds - at T2 these lenses perform well as long as they have been serviced.

I'm thinking the same thing. These late Ekran have pretty good mechanics. I would be interested to see a whole set of Ekran 90" 91". Actually, if I had a complete set of these Ekran, I won't sell it.

To be honest, there were more dust than on the final picture, but reducing the image size (ctrl+T=blur)has just made them almost disapear. i can post the actual picture if you like, but it's big.

They have been serviced a year ago. Except for the 100, and 150 200, that I received recently from Serguey, when I started to think of selling the set.

Justin, these lenses are in the same condition that the other eastern sellers, i don't see you bashing their threads.

I think I'm honest, when I say do need services. If I service it before selling, price will go up. You know, I don't need to sell them, it's not the economics... I just want a second optimo. If it don't sell, so be it. I'll save more, and it will be longer bit I want my optimoooo ... :)

alright man, where the fuck does it say that you're specifically not looking for a trade? I can fucking read thank you.
It was simply an idea, to trade you a newer piece of slower glass plus cash for your older faster lens....you keep the set intact for sale, plus you make some extra money. You seem to spend enough time talking on this thread talking about the newer glass, so I thought it wasn't a bad idea....anyways, have a nice day. that was the last piece of condescention i needed today.
