CF 16GB and CF module

Do you need to change to a new CF module so it works with the 16GB CF cards or just to upgrade to B17 ?

Three ways to have to correct gen CF reader/writer in your camera for 16 GB CF cards:

1. You ordered 16 GB CF cards - your order will ship with current gen reader/writer(s).
2. Cameras shipped on October 27, 2008 or later already have them.
3. Cameras have gone through the RED ONE upgrade program will already have them.

what serial numbers started going out on Oct. 27, 2008??

cameras aren't necesesarily shipped out according to serial number order. Depends when people took delivery.

#4751 and up began shipping on that date. So, if you have above that serial number, it has the current gen reader/writer. And, yes, earlier serial numbers delivered after that date would also have it.
