What is your favorite plugin for pulling out Green Screen Keys.

NO AE no other programs.
I need some suggestions on Plugins for pulling green screen keys only in FCP.

Right now i have garage matte pro and boris effects
I dont like either of the 2 for different reasons.

Thanks.

Keylight is great. The internal keyer of FCP just doesn't cut it.

I know the original poster said that AE wasn't an option, but I have gotten some of the absolute best keys by doing the following:

1. Render out a DPX/Cineon stack out of Redcine.
2. Bring the stack into AE.
3. Use the keylight plugin.

For some reason, DPX's seem to really do a fantastic job of eliminating the dreaded "black line". Apart from those, the best plugin for FCP IMHO is Ultimatte AdvantEdge. Just my two cents.

Again No After effects suggestions. No need for AE at this time I love Keylight.
I am well aware of keylight in AE its perfect for my online.
However this is strictly an offline workflow.
I am just looking for plugins you guys use and like in FCP

NOT AE please thanks again.

Just want to know whats out there in pluings for fcp pulling keys

thanks guys
appreicate it.

Redgiantsoftware.com is selling the Primatte keyer version 4.0.

Although I've only tested the AE version I know the much older Shake version very well. I found the 4.0 upgrade a very, very good tool, considering that it is meant as a one trick pony app..

It's availabe for FCP as well - not cheap but you get what you pay for. I would give it a try. For best results, however, your want a compositor like Shake, Nuke or Fusion (I'm sure you know that anyway). For a good composite your need nice resizing, defocus and matte tools, not to mention a good grain/noise management. To assemble such a toolset in a NLE is expensive and I'm not sure wether you get all those plugins for FCP. But if you want for offline nice composits to please the clients I can see the need.

EDIT: Scratch the last paragraph - just read your post. You have been faster...
