Brand New Set of Ultra Primes For Sale

[Robin Horn]

I have a brand new set of Ultra Primes arriving next week from Arri GB. They are a 16, 24, 32, 50, 85 & 135mm. I ordered them 4 months ago, but in the meantime I brought a set of super speeds which I am very happy with.

I now want to sell the new Ultas on. I know that this set of 6 lenses cost $101,000 from a US Arri dealer, even after a 6% discount. I am taking offers in dollars. After a price has been agreed we can work out if you would like to fly to London to pick them up or weather I will fly out to deliver them.

Best Wishes

I was recently quoted on the Ultra Primes. Prices have dropped in the US. That set would sell for around 75K, depending on the discount offered at the time.

Hi Chris,
Prices are lower in the USA for some reason. Try in the UK for a sale. People are buying in rental houses. Rogue, Movietech, Take 2. etc All are busy with lenses and Red.

Hi

Not that it is usual to do so but I would be very interested in what they sell for... If a desperate US buyer pays out big I'd let my set go (same lenses plus the 12mm)..

I suspect 09 won't be so lens price crazy... Good luck!

A private PM would be great?

thanks

I got given the wrong quote. The 6 lenses are $85000. I should get my facts correct before I pit up a post!
These lenses are going to cost me £44000. If someone wants to take over my order for me at today exchange rate it would work out at $61000!

Thanks

Robin

What are the F stops of these particular lenses? Are these the 1.7's?

[Nils J. Nesse]

New Ultra Primes are T1.9 which should translate to F1.7.

[Tim Whitcomb]

Ah, thank you.

$61k is not bad considering I've seen people lately trying to sell super speeds for over $40k. I rather have a lens that is 1 stop slower but has better sharpness & contrast.

Now I need to figure out how to get $61k!
