This year 2009 for the first time in Academy Awards history in category of cinematography
there are two movies that are acquired digitally (85% or more) were nominated:
- "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," shot by Claudio Miranda on Viper.
- "Slumdog Millionaire" shot by Anthony Dod Mantle on SI2K.
Unfortunately this year no any movie shot RED1 was nominated.
I thought that CHE would be in the game but didn't happen in that way.
But I'm proud that my RED1 has the same mount (IMS) as one of nominated films shot on SI2K.
By the way RED didn't officially certified IMS for RED1 till today and we even do not know if this will ever be done.
